Jim has a long standing commitment to sports medicine, education and professional advocacy. Jim is currently the Senior Vice President of Clemson Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation. He has lectured nationally since 2005 with special interest in shoulder, hip, knee and foot and ankle rehabilitation including custom foot orthotic fabrication. Jim has actively participated in High School Athletic event coverage since 1996. His passion for high school athletics lead him to create PlaySafe, a non-profit organization, whose mission is to support sports medicine coverage to high schools that do not have state funds to hire their own personnel. He has served numerous roles and offices within the South Carolina Chapter of APTA (SCAPTA) having received the 2005 SCAPTA Emily Cates Award for Outstanding Achievement and the APTA State Legislative Award in 2011.
